    River's End Merlot

LAST UPDATED: February 12, 2019 PUBLISHED: October 8, 2016 By Pam Greer 2 Comments As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

A review of River's End Merlot 2014  for Weekend Wine Reviews #308.

    River's End Merlot

River's End Merlot, 2014, California, Wine Insiders, $14.99.  They say:  Ripe berry fruit flavors with a nice touch of oak.  Merlot is a dark blue grape with tends to produce medium bodied wines, with flavors of berry, plum and currants.  From two of the oldest vineyards along California's North Coast, where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean.  The region is perfect for growing merlot grapes.  Serve with grilled duck, turkey, chicken, braised lamb, pork or beef – and a nice partner for dishes featuring a rich tomato sauce.  We say:  Medium body with plums.  Nice long finish.  Well balanced.  Buy again:  yes!

If you enjoy Merlot, you might want to read my reviews of:  Fat Cat Merlot, Tin Roof Merlot, and Purple Moon Merlot.

I like plummy reds. Did you see that Donna Hay has released a new book?

Life in Balance? I haven't seen it here. I can usually only get her books from Amazon. I wish I could actually look through them before I bought them!
