A review of Snickerdoodle Chardonnay 2013 for Weekend Wine Reviews #293.
Snickerdoodle Chardonnay, 2013, California. Wine Insiders, $17.99. They say: Chardonnay is produced in record quality and quantity in California. the flavors range from rip and oaked to light and crisp and each style has it's fan based. This Snickerdoodle is well loved because it's so balanced and versatile. It has flavors of fresh citrus paired with green apple, hints of pineapple, and a vibrant hint of vanilla. A food friendly crowd favorite with a hint of sweetness and a smooth flavor. Taste like: light oak, pineapple, vanilla, green apple. It is best served slightly cooler than room temperature, 15 minutes in the freezer is about right. Pair it with: grilled poultry or pasta with cream sauce. We say: buttery vanilla, apple and citrus. The longer it breathed the sweeter it became. We liked it with a little chill on it. Buy again: yes.
