Yes, we are extremely tired of the cold weather. She normally spends a good chunk of her day outside, now she is down to about 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening. She really doesn't like using a litter box and acts more like a dog in that we have to let her outside so she can go. On another note, see that tall thin plant next to her? That's my lemon verbena that I brought in from the herb garden to try and survive the winter. See all the dead, dried leaves? When we got back from our trip to California, we realized that the house sitter must have forgotten to water it. (She did, however, take fantastic care of our cats!) It looked completely dead, all shriveled up. I kept watering it, mainly because I was just too lazy to take it back outside and when I went around watering plants, there it was. Then all of a sudden one day I noticed a sprout of green! Now it has a few small green branches! Lesson for the day - even if you think a plant is dead, be lazy and continue watering it.

So much expression in that little face. Unlike Coco I would love cold right now. Perhaps she'd like to swap? Seems like a pretty cushy gig at Sidewalk Shoes and you will be safe in the knowledge that I won't scare, chase or eat the birdies. Good save on the lemon verbena. My mother was legendary for reviving *dead* plants*. She also used to cop a ribbing for planting sticks in the garden - every single one of them sprouted into proper plants. She always had the last laugh.

I can sooo identify with your cat! Your lemon verbena is a metaphor to not give up (but also, I think you have a magnificent green thumb).
