A review of St. Francis Old Vines Zinfandel for Weekend Wine Reviews #269.
St. Francis “Old Vines” Zinfandel, 2012, Sonoma County, California. $13.99, Costco. They say: This rich Sonoma County classic flaunts aromas of cigar box, raspberry, pepper and spice. Flavors of ripe back cherry and vanilla bean are followed by a long luscious finish. We say: Black cherry with hints of vanilla, a little bit of smokiness. Very nice and drinkable. Buy again: yes!

Ann says
It looks luscious. Perhaps a little dark chocolate to go with it? Duck breasts?
