We are back today with some new kitty photos! We finally got an inch of rain the other day thanks to a cold front coming through! The other benefit of the cold front is this week we are having temperatures in the 80's with a lovely breeze!
Coco decided to celebrate by relaxing on the porch stairs. Yes, my husband did get a little messy when he repainted the stair railings. Coco is not complaining though.
Once again, I ran into post naming problems. I started to call this Coco on the Stairs and then did a quick search and found this post Coco on the Stairs. It's the front porch steps instead of the back porch steps, but still.
These kitty cats need to get creative so I can have some more interesting titles... like Coco Kitty Riding a Bike or Luxie on the Flying Trapeze.
Do you see the jasmine vines in the photo? A couple of years ago, we had the crazy idea to plant some jasmine in the corner by the stairs. We had no idea that jasmine basically will take over the world if you let it. It's going up the stairs and starting to cover the screened in porch.
We had dreams of sitting on the screened in porch with the heady scent of jasmine floating in on the breeze. Instead we have a wall of green that has had exactly one blossom in two years.
Oh well.
For my artsy photo, I used Topaz Labs.

The photos on the stairs are beautiful. Love the weathered look of the painted wood with the vines, and of course, the kitty.

Coco seems to be giving her look of approval of the new paint coat on the stair rails.
Mom has a jasmine vine in the backyard. She's had it for many years and has moved it a couple of times, but it still never blooms. I told her the plant must be pretty tempurrmental. Tee hee hee. Tummy tickles.
Pam Greer says
I wonder why some blooms and some doesn't!

What a beautiful baby you are Coco! Enjoy the nice weather!

Thank you, we are!

Cats and stairs make a great combo—be they laying down, playing on, or traversing, MOL
maybe your vine is just having too much fun to flower, or too good a feed and is just being lazy. I never realized plants did that but apparently they do, just like some humans do. Not for yourselves though as your art always flowers.

I think it's spending so much time growing, it doesn't have any energy left to flower!

Coco is looking so relaxed we really like that selfie. We hope to have a porch soon too.
Pam Greer says
I hope you get a porch soon too!

Coco is a beauty. She does look very happy on the stairs.

I love the smell of Jasmine. We have one growing in a pot beside the benches in our flower garden. The frost caught it this winter though and a lot of the bud bearing shoots died off. It made a valiant effort to flower though.
This winter we will cut it back as much as possible and overwinter it in the garage.
The artsy picture of Coco is pretty.

Lovely photos and the jasmine looks quite nice, even if it is taking over 🙂
