    Strawberry Banana Yogurt Pops

I tend to go through phases when it comes to desserts.  It's pretty much feast or famine around here.   When it's feast time, it's usually focused on one dessert.  For awhile I was making panna cottas every week.   My new focus is apparently popsicles.  I love them for so many reasons.  It's a bazillion degrees outside and they are cool and refreshing.  They also are great for portion control for those of us who could eat sweets until they burst.  I don't have a sweet tooth, I have a sweet body.  I love sweets with every cell of my body.  I marvel at people who say they aren't much of a sweet person, almost as much as I marvel at people who don't like chocolate.   Sorry, back to popsicles.  I also love that you can make them pretty healthy and they still taste amazing - like these Strawberry Yogurt Pops.

    strawberries

When I made Banana Berry pops a few weeks ago, I made a note that that they would probably be good with all sorts of other fruit subbing for the blueberries.  How about another berry - like strawberries.  Strawberries and bananas are a match made in heaven.

    Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt Popsicles

These were perfect.  A little tart sweetness from the strawberries and the yogurt, creaminess from the banana and earthy sweetness from the honey.  These are also so crazy easy to make, I just whirled it all together in my Vitamix.    I like to use wooden sticks instead of plastic so I pour the mixture into these popsicle molds without using the sticks that come with it, and after freezing for about 2 hours, I insert the wooden sticks.

These pops were such a hit! The yogurt gave them the perfect creamy texture, and they had just the right level of sweetness. Plus, they were super simple to prepare.
