    Tuxedo Cat in a Tree

    Tuxedo Cat in a Tree

Patchouli goes out side a couple of times a day.  She is happy staying inside when it is too hot or too cold, but in the spring and fall, she really enjoys spending time outside.  Unfortunately, she is a huge chicken and all the other kitty cats know it.  Even though she is bigger than all of them, she is a lover not a fighter.  As soon as she is approached by another cat, she cowers and yowls like she is being killed.   If she would just turn around and give them a slap or two, I'm sure they would leave her alone.  But she doesn't.  She cowers or runs.

Anytime I go outside to bring her in, one of the first places I look is in the dogwood tree.  It is her favorite place to get away from mean kitties.  She is pretty comfortable up there and will stay there as long as she needs to.  It's been tricky getting her down, but I have a super soaker that I use on the mean neighborhood cats, and it comes in handy.  I squirted it once near her and she got down, now all I have to do is pull the trigger and when she hears the motor sound, she climbs down.

Patchouli may not be an adventurer at heart, but she's beautiful and, I'm sure, a wonderful, snuggly girl. I'm glad she can get away from the meanies and hide in her tree!

Patchouli is sure pretty perched up in her tree. I bet she can see the world from there. I am glad she stays safe up high from the other kitties. Mom thinks I'm a lover and not a fighter just like Patchouli. Hugs!

Just wondering, kitty, while you are up there would you send a few squirrels down to me?

What a cutie! I'm sad, though, that the other kitties mistreat her. Looks like she loves the outdoors and the trees!

Poor Patchouli! At least she has a good tree to sit in where she can relax. 🙂

Oooh that Topaz really has jazzed up the leaves and some of the spaces between. Patchouli does look very comfy in that branch, I bet it's the top o' the world for her...

She is lovely. It is a pity that she won't stand up for herself, but she obviously feels safe in her tree.

Ah poor Patchouli ! I have one big (rescue) cat like that. She had only now begun to stand up to the bully a little after 6 years !
