A wine review of Upwell Rosé 2016 for Weekend Wine Reviews #350.
Upwell Rosé 2016
Upwell Rosé 2016, Lodi California. Wine Awesomeness. 100% Tempranillo. They say: on the nose - rhubarb, watermelon rinds, yellow citrus. Strawberry stems, salty toasted pumpkin seeds. On the palate: Powdery white flowers, fresh pressed watermelon juice, slight brown pinecone sappiness. This wine is made using sustainable harvesting methods. Medium to light body, clean brine on the finish, ultra quaffable.
We say: Watermelon jolly ranchers with a hint of citrus! Very nice and easy drinking. Doing a little googling I found out that this wine is made by Coeur Wine Co. First of all having grown up in Creve Coeur Missour, I was immediatelyin love with the name. Then I went to read more about Coeur Wines and found out that Upwell Rosé is a collaboration with Eric Clemons and some other winemakers! Colene Clemons was one of favorite wineries that we visited on our last vacation!

Rose and it's frozen version Frose were all the rage here last summer. I'm enjoying a Wolf Blass Red Label Chardonnay at $7.95 a bottle. Can't say that I'm ususally a fan of Chardonnay but this is a nice drop.
