A few photos of our calico cat, Coco as she looks out the window.  Admiring our new favorite garden flower, the Mexican Sunflower.

Coco Kitty and the Window

On a whim earlier in the summer I bought a packet of seeds.  I tossed them behind some low bushes in front of the dining room window.  There were some zinnias, some cosmos and something called a Mexican Sunflower.   The Mexican Sunflower was a huge success in more ways than one.

First of all it’s tall, probably almost 6 feet tall, so we can easily see the flowers through the window.  Second of all, the monarch butterflies love it!!  I took some photos, and I’ll share them on a garden post.

Coco Kitty Butterfly Watching

The kitty cats love it as much as we do.  They can sit on the table by the window and watch the butterflies.  We’ve also seen the hummingbirds stopping by for a bit of nectar and the flowers are almost always covered in bumble bees.

Did you see my Native Plant Garden Post earlier in the week?  I was so inspired by the garden tour that I joined our local nature center and will be going to their native plant sale next weekend!  We really plan on turning our wooded area of our yard into a more controlled natural area.  Of course, it’s too crazy hot to even think about doing any of it now.

Once it cools off we’ll get out their and plan some paths and some garden islands.

Hope everyone is staying safe with the hurricane!

Coco is so very photogenic and her mom is a great photographer.

I love how kitties can watch the critters outside for hours on end. Well in between naps that is.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ❤

Coco, you are just too beautiful. The wonderful time you must have watching those butterflies and other little friends on the outside must be so much fun. We hope you have a fabulous start to the fall season this weekend. Thanks for the share.

Coco Kitty is adorable! I had thought about tossing some wildflowers in our front garden and you’ve inspired me! Thank you for joining the Pet Parade.

Ah, living flowers. Don’t let Jan near them; they’ll die. But glad they are doing so well for you and Coco.

Flowers and butterflies make great cat T.V. – we were hoping for more butterflies this year, but it was way too hot for our butterfly plants in front of the window to do much flowering this year.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful cat – as usual! I’m so jealous of your skill with a camera!

A wildlife garden is heavenly, and the fact that you get to enjoy the plants and wildlife plus your own feline family enjoying it too is a wonderful thing. We love Coco’s second picture, it is so very full of a cats quizzical expression and a joy to behold.
