    Belle Fiore Winery Wine Tasting

On our recent trip to Oregon, we were told that we simply must stop at Belle Fiore Winery in Ashland, Oregon.  What everyone meant was that we simply must stop at the Chateau at Belle Fiore Winery.   The Chateau is over the top and truly a one of a kind experience.  However, that wasn't what we were looking for.  We cram as much in a day as we can.  We visit as many wineries as time allows (within reason of course!)  The Chateau sounded like something that was probably going to need a whole day.  Luckily Belle Fiore Winery has just the spot for people like us, The Pavillion Tasting Room.

Now, don't think for one minute that we "settled" for the Pavillion Tasting Room.  It is so gorgeous!  With a charming old world style.  You can choose to taste in the lower Pavillion tasting room or the upper wine bar.  We choose the lower level, mainly because we were already standing right there at the tasting bar!   We are all about easy.

They had two tastings available - a classic tasting for $15 and Reserve Tasting for $19.  We went with the Reserve Tasting.  Do you want to know our secret to visiting as many tasting rooms as we can?  It's simple, we share a tasting!   It's just the right amount of wine and we can visit more wineries.  We almost always by at least a bottle or two, so I don't think the wineries really mind.

Our pourer was Savannah.  We loved her!  She was super friendly and helpful!  We loved all of the wines and ended up buying a couple of bottles.  After the tasting, Savannah encouraged us to go upstairs to just look around some more. Looking down into the lower tasting room of the Pavillion for Belle Fiore Winery

You can see in the photo looking down at the tasting bar, the incredible attention to detail.  The tile on the floor was amazing!  Upper floor at the Pavillion tasting room for Belle Fiore Winery

There were all sorts of lovely little areas that you could settle down with a glass of wine.  If we had more time, it would have been lovely to sit at a little table and enjoy the wine and the view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine and the whole experience at Belle Fiore Winery.  If we get back to that area, we will definitely set aside more time for a Chateau tour.
