Coco Kitty
Well, remember all the photos of Luxie and the little Christmas tree, and then the photos of Coco and the little Christmas tree? I expected to be back this week with new photos of the kitties and the little tree.
But guess what?
No one is hanging around the little Christmas tree. Not once.
It's like it's no longer the cool place to hang out. Just like I don't know ¾ of the bands on the music award shows, now I no longer know the cool Christmas hangouts.
The Testing of the Christmas Lights
Everything started as normal, with the untangling of the Christmas lights (why does this happen every year!) and then the testing of the lights. Luxie supervised.
Cats Under the Christmas Tree
Then they spent the rest of the time under the real tree. Admiring my wrapping skills probably. You may notice two things - one, we have very few presents. With grown children, they mostly want money, or presents have already been ordered and shipped directly to them. And, two - I've gone all minimalist this year. We bought brown craft paper and white craft paper and then use bright ribbon for color. I love it.
This paper can be used all year for any kind of occasion by just changing up the ribbon. It's my new most favorite thing. Whenever there is a sale on ribbon at the hobby stores, I look and see if there is any that I want. I already have some cute pink and white polka dotted ribbon that I will use with the white paper for my granddaughters birthday next year!
Anyway, Coco, Luxie, Patchouli, Mr. Sidewalk Shoes and I would like to wish everyone a very, very, Merry Christmas.
For my artsy photos, I used Topaz Labs:

Our kitties have no interest in the tree, bur I love to sit and look at it, or lie down under it. You look nice with the stockings by the fireplace.

Lovely images of Christmas and kitty-kats. I bought a pre lit tree last year as I simply could not face untangling the tree lights for another year ( I know, first world problems). Merry Christmas and best wishes to you and your family.

I love the plain wrapping paper with bight ribbon idea. Supremely practical and I guess loads cheaper but giving a dazzling effect. Coco in the image is lovely, she just makes that scene perfect. No if only real life could be as sweet...

Coco and Luxie seem to approve of your minimalist look this year. They look very comfortable with it and sparkle like the tree itself. Cuddles.
