    Raspberry Desserts

While I adore a good Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert, there is also something to be said for trying to include fruits in your desserts.   Fruits always make me feel like I'm eating healthier.  Like this easy 5 minute raspberry dessert.   Raspberries are a known antioxidant and they have anti-inflammatory properties.

So, you could have a purely decadent dessert or your could feel good about it and include some fruit.  You could even meet in the middle like these Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tarts!

Three photos showing the steps to making a triple raspberry sundae

How to Make This Easy Raspberry Dessert

You can make this easy raspberry dessert in about 5 minutes!  You just need to gather your ingredients:  raspberry sherbet (or sorbet or ice cream,) raspberry preserves or spread, orange liqueur, and fresh raspberries.  My homemade orange liqueur would be perfect for this, or you can use store bought.  If you don't want to use liqueur, you can use orange juice.

In small bowl, you combine the raspberry spread, orange liqueur, and water.  Then you gently stir in the raspberries.  Spoon your sorbet into a pretty glass and top with with the raspberry mixture.  Garnish with mint if you like!   That's it!

The original recipe, which I found in an old Cooking Light book that is not even published any more called for using raspberry sorbet.  I couldn't find any, so I used sherbet.  Frozen yogurt or ice cream would also work.

    Triple Raspberry Sundaes

These were so good.  The raspberries were sweet and tart and the hint of orange was so nice.  One of the easiest desserts I've ever made!  Perfect ending to any meal, especially nice if you spend a lot of time on dinner and want a really easy dessert.

I found this while searching for Valentine's Day dessert ideas.  This is perfect for Valentine's Day with it's pretty pink color, also good for Mother's Day or any day you want to serve an easy dessert.  Just serve them in pretty goblets - like these goblets or these ice cream bowls  and this easy dessert looks so special.
