If you are going to drink a smoothie, you might as well make it a Superfood Smoothie!
This Acai Superfood Smoothie is made from acai berry puree, bananas, raspberries and pomegranate juice - so good!!
Have you heard about superfoods? They are foods that are so nutrient dense or so high in some amazing healthy way that they are referred to as superfoods.
There are lots of different superfood lists floating around. They agree on most foods, but some might add one or two other foods.
This superfood smoothie contains 3 foods that are on almost all the lists: acai berries, raspberries and pomegranate juice! Making the smoothie amazingly good for you and amazingly delicious!!
We love this smoothie for breakfast, dessert or a snack!
An easy way to turn your smoothie into a superfood powerhouse is with acai berries.
While I don't believe they are the cure-all to everything, some studies indicate that are higher in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries.
I used frozen Acai berry purees, you can also use Acai Powder. I used one frozen pack for 2 smoothies, making it about fifty cents a smoothie, not bad!
Instructions
Step 1 - gather your ingredients: frozen acai puree or acai powder, bananas, frozen raspberries, pomegranate juice and agave nectar.
Tip if you are using acai powder instead of frozen puree, use 4 tablespoons and add 1 cup of ice.
Step 2 - add the pomegranate juice agave nectar to a blender. Then add the acai puree (or powder) raspberries, bananas and ice (if using acai powder.)
Step 3 - Process until smooth and creamy.

I love smoothies but haven't tried acai berries yet. I know, what am I living under a rock? Also loving the sound of the ginger pear one, too. Thanks for linking up at #SaucySaturdays.
