This Lillet and Tonic is the easy, refreshing cocktail that you've been looking for! Light and summery and low alcohol, it's perfect for sipping on your porch or at a barbecue!

Light colored cocktail in a glass with a lemon wedge and a vase of purple flowers in the background.

Before I really got deep into cocktail making, my cocktail of choice was a gin and tonic. It still is my go to easy cocktail. Nothing beats it for it's herby refreshing flavor.

Then I heard about a Lillet and Tonic! Even lighter and even more refreshing.

As we are heading into warmer weather, this is the perfect summer cocktail. At only 34% proof you can sip this low alcohol cocktail all through a summer party!

Lillet blanc, tonic water and a lemon on a mirrored tray.

    Ingredients

Lillet Blanc - If you haven't tried this, you are going to love it! It tastes of honey, citrus and even a little pine. You usually find it around the vermouth's because it is also a fortified wine. You'll also want to try another Lillet drink - this White Negroni!

Tonic Water - usually we make our own with tonic syrup and sparkling water from our soda stream, but I happened to have a few cans of tonic picked up on sale.

Lemon, Lime or Orange - you can garnish this with whatever citrus you have in the fridge. Or omit the garnish all together!

    Directions

Fill a collins glass with ice.

Add 1 ½ ounces of Lillet to the glass.

    Top with tonic water.

Expert Tip - if you place a bar spoon in the glass and pour your tonic down the bar spoon, it helps get the carbonation to the bottom of the glass and helps keep it from fizzing up too much.

Garnish with a citrus wedge of your choice.

Cocktail glass filled with a light colored cocktail, garnished with a lemon slice with a vase of purple flowers behind it.

This is so good!! Unbelievably light and refreshing. Now, I am looking at all my other miscellaneous bottles in my bar, thinking....what can I mix with tonic!
