Suze and Tonic is the super easy and super refreshing cocktail that you need to be sipping right now! With only 2 ingredients and lower in alcohol, it's perfect for parties and backyard barbecues!

Two tall glasses filled with a bright yellow cocktail and garnished with a lime wheel.

Remember last week, when I posted the Lillet and Tonic? It turned out to be such a popular post and with good reason.

Everyone loves light and refreshing cocktails and you can now add this Suze and Tonic to your list!

Just look at that gorgeous color!

This is so light and just a bit bitter and you're going to love that it's lower alcohol! Perfect for sipping at a party or enjoying on your back porch!

Bottle of Suze and a can of tonic water in front of a plant.

    Ingredients

Suze - Suze is a French apéritif. It has a pleasant bitter flavor and is made from gensian. It's hard to describe it's taste, someone said it tastes like dandelion greens with a little citrus.

Tonic Water - use your favorite brand. We try to buy quality tonic water, especially when it's on sale.

    Extra tonic water? Try our:

    • Raspberry Vodka Tonic
    • Midori Gin and Tonic
    • Italian Gin and Tonic

Garnish - garnish with a lemon or lime wheel, or omit the garnish.

    Directions

Fill a collins glass with ice.

Add 1 ½ ounces of Suze into the glass.

    Top with tonic water.

Expert Tip: place a bar spoon in the glass and pour the tonic water down the bar spoon. This helps get carbonation through the whole cocktail and keeps it from fizzing so much.

Garnish with lime or lemon wheel, if desired.

Two tall cocktail glasses filled with a bright yellow cocktail.

That's it! You just made the easiest, lightest and most refreshing cocktail.

It has a pleasantly bitter taste that I really love.
