Steamed baby bok choy is a quick and easy Asian side dish that everyone loves.

The bok choy comes out crisp tender with a delicate flavor. Perfect to accompany an Asian inspired main dish or any grilled, roasted or sautéed main.

Baby bok choy in a skillet.

I am always looking for an easy Asian side dish and this steamed baby bok choy is a favorite around here. I love to serve it with Honey Sriracha Pork Chops or 15 Minute Honey Sriracha Salmon.

Did you know that Bok Choy is a good source of Vitamin A, C and K! Making it a healthy and delicious choice!

    Ingredients.

Baby bok choy - you can use regular bok choy if it's not too big and quarter it, but it won't be as sweet as the baby.

    Soy sauce.

    Olive oil.

Orange - juice of one orange or tangerine (about 4 tablespoons.)

    Step by step instructions.

Baby bok choy cut in half on a wooden cutting board.

Wash and drain the bok choy and cut in half lengthwise. No. need to core it, the core will help hold it's shape.

Place the bok choy in a skillet cut side down. Pour the olive oil, soy sauce and orange juice over the bok choy. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Turn the heat to might and cover with a lid. Steam for 3-5 minutes or until desired tenderness.

This is such a wonderful and easy way to cook bok choy! It's salty from the soy sauce, sweet and citrusy from the orange juice.

Depending on what you are serving this with, it can either serve 4 or 8. If your main dish is on the lighter side, you can serve two halves to one person, otherwise one half would be enough.
