It doesn't get much easier or tastier than a Greyhound Cocktail!  With only two ingredients, vodka and grapefruit juice, you can have this refreshing cocktail any time you want!

Two glasses filled with an orange cocktail and garnished with grapefruit wedges.

    Grapefruit Juice Cocktails

I purchased some grapefruit to use in the dressing for a salad I wanted to make.  Then it turned out that they didn't have the ingredients that I needed to make the salad.

Forgetting to take the grapefruit out of the cart, I brought it home with no idea what to do with it.

It sounded like the perfect juice for some cocktails, right?

We were already tired and grumpy and needed something easy.  A quick browsing of grapefruit juice cocktails brought us to a Greyhound Cocktail and the New England Sour.

We started with the Greyhound because it only needed two ingredients!  Grapefruit juice and either vodka or gin.  I love two ingredient cocktails, so we were definitely giving this one a try.

Half of a grapefruit and a bottle of Lass & Lions Vodka.

    • Grapefruit Juice - you can use fresh squeezed or I think bottled would be fine.
    • Vodka - Use your favorite vodka.  We used a local Tennessee Vodka by Lass & Lions.
    • Grapefruit Wedge - for garnish if you'd like.

How to Make a Greyhound Cocktail

Not only does this cocktail only have two ingredients, but it is built in glass, meaning you don't even need a cocktail shaker!

Add ice to your rocks glass.

Pour in 2 ounces of vodka.

Add 4 ounces of grapefruit juice to the cocktail glass.

    Stir.

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge if desired.

That's it!  That's how easy it is to make this vodka cocktail!

Pretty orange cocktail with a grapefruit wedge.

This is going on my list of favorite cocktails.  Not only was it so crazy easy, but it was so refreshing and delicious!

Crisp and clean.  It's perfect for sipping year round.  Sip it now, while grapefruits are in season and sip it later with some store bought grapefruit juice.

This would make an amazing easy pitcher cocktail for a party!

Not as well known as the French 77, the French 76 uses vodka instead of gin!

Gorgeous and delicious, you're going to love this Blackberry Martini.

If you like spicy cocktails, definitely try this Spicy Moscow Mule.
